Just about Nama'd out!

Saturday, June 09, 2012

Long day with the recital.....that was 2 hours long but Lyla did well. Then we all went out to eat. Sean was very well behaved at the restaurant but Lyla was loud and bad. If my DH and I were there with her we would have taken her outside and not put up with her. She never misbehaves like that when it is my DH and I with the kids alone but when they are with their Mommy they just act up and it's awful. I wouldn't want to be a paying customer and sit next to Lyla and her whining. I am afraid her Mom is spoiling her. bummer.

I am sooooo ready to go home now. Nama has had enough.

Hope all my sparks buddies are doing great.
Woo hoo....I get to pack tomorrow.
Sallie

Glad that things are over and had a nice time, but now u can enjoy your free time @ home! I can't believe that the parents let her act out like that, but u did the right thing by letting her be the mom. Have a safe trip Sallie! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Poor Lyla- all that stress and then having to be good in a restaurant- that's asking a lot in one day for a little one.
Time to go home, Peanut!

I'm always amazed at parents that let their kids act up in public places. What does that teach them? It won't be long until you're home.

She was probably still sooo excited from her dance recital but still her mom should have dealt with that. Good for you letting it be... as hard as that must have been.
Have a safe trip home!

I'm one of those who rolls their eyes when they see kids and bad behavior at restaurants, I always threatened my kids with "if you don't behave, we will leave no dinner"

Sallie, I am so impressed with your ability allow Mom to be the Mom. This can sometimes be so difficult to do. But doing so has to make for a much more pleasant visit. Take care and have a safe flight back.

I worked as a hostess in a big restaurant in this small town 30 years ago.I hate to say this because my brother was a school teacher for many years in California & I live here in Pa.The worst kids were the school teachers own children, they would be so loud & screaming or talking so loud people would talk about it,I am not saying just one family it was many. Plus every single time they would leave, the sweeper would have to be dragged out because those kids would smash crackers & other foods on the carpet. When these teachers would come in everyone would roll there eyes & shrink back because they knew they would get a blasting from them. The family's would come in separate not together. The parents never told there kids to hush, but I bet if there students acted out they would get a blasting & sent to the principles office. It is almost like the parents relished in having their kids carry on.I live in a small town & word traveled fast about the teachers & their kids in public places. So Sallie you will be heading out of Dodge soon !!!!!
