Travel is Broadening

The pictures I recently added were taken on a trip my husband and I took to Texas, Oklahoma, and California to see two granddaughters graduate from college and a great granddaughter dedicated at her parents' church. We were gone two weeks and I didn't get my usual amount of exercise (Jazzercise 3 days a week and walking every day.) My daughters and granddaughter are good cooks and I enjoyed the meals they prepared as well as eating in restaurants more than usual. It shouldn't have been a surprise to find I had gained two pounds over my goal in the two weeks I was gone, but it was. As soon as I realized my scale wasn't lying, I resolved to get off those two pounds before they multiplied.
In the two weeks I've been home I've faithfully gotten back into my exercise routines and have been very aware of limiting my calories. I've discovered that if I can put on a pound a week, I can also take off a pound a week. Hallelujah! I'm back at goal and intend to stay there.
