At my last appointment with my Lapband PA (05/21), my weight loss on their scale has surpassed 70 pounds, but that was from my very first visit a year ago. Not quite there on home scale, which I started tracking the week I had my surgery last September.
But yesterday I did it! 70.6 pounds lost!! Did that feel and look good??
So every time I've hit one of these weight loss milestones, I've gone searching for a list of things that weight that much. Interestingly enough, one of our fellow SP bloggers (KEZRARAYNE) had put together such a list back in 2009 Here are a few of my favorites:
*A full helium tank
*An electric fireplace
*The world's biggest atlas
*A bushel of Corn
*The average sheet of drywall
I'll have to remember the next time I am at Lowe's (which will likely be this weekend!) to try to pick up and carry around a sheet of drywall (of course without breaking it!). No wonder my muscles and joints hurt so bad 70 pounds ago!! Can you imagine what some of my internal organs thought of it?? I bet if they could talk (and who knows -- remember the reference in Star Wars to midiclorians?) they were not saying nice things about me!
Well, that is in the past. 70 pounds gone. Next milestone -- 80 pounds!
