Walk Training Progress

The last three weeks have been a challenge and also a great change for me. I LOVE walking outside in the spring and summer! This week it was 4 miles Tuesday, 4 miles Thursday (which I did yesterday in two 2-mile increments due to time constraints this week), 3 miles today (DONE!) and 6 miles tomorrow. Tomorrow it's supposed to be HOT and a little more humid so I'm determined to wake myself and my sister up around 6:30-7 a.m. to get it done before it gets too hot. Laurie - GET READY! I'm coming to your house to get your butt out the door if you're not up yet!!!!!!!! (hopefully she'll read this since she's on Spark too).
It's going well but this week my knee started hurting. I think it's a tendon because sometimes it feels like something is moving out of place and then going back, it hurts for a step or two, then stops hurting. Weird! I'm stretching more and not walking as fast. I'm hoping it's just my joints getting used to walking more.
Anyway, things are going well and I've still been able to get other workouts and a rest day in each week and I'm burning MORE calories during my walks than during other, hard workouts. AND I'm down 3 pounds so far this week with my weekly weigh in tomorrow morning and a graduation party tonight. Wish me luck!
