Saturdays are my biggest STRUGGLE!

Saturday, June 09, 2012

Well, today is the day i usually have a hard time. I always tell myself during the week that im going to stay home on saturday and focus on myself, but that NEVER ends up happening!! But i must admit going out and drinking and being hungover on my ONLY day off is getting VERY VERY VERY old.. especially now that im trying to live a healthy lifestyle.. and trying SO HARD to hit my goal weight. I lose 2-4 pounds in 1 week then saturday comes and i gain it ALL back!! I WORK SO HARD DURING THE week.. Walking 4-6 miles a day.. weight lifting 3-4x a week.. then ruin it by 1 night!! It gets VERY frusterating! BUT whats different about this weekend.. i actually made productive plans. I usually think im going to come home and chill.. but eventually someone hits me up asking if i wanna party. and i do because im bored and have NOTHING planned. Tomorrow im waking up by 8am to hit my morning walk.. then around 11am im heading to the farmers market with my mom.. then around 2pm im cleaning the house for a few hours with my mom because my brother is moving back in. around 4pm me and my friend are walking around the lake.. then after that im heading to the gym to weight lift. THEN last but NOT least coming home to make meals for the week.. I did that last weekend.. and it really helped me stay on track with my eating ALL week!! i lost 8 pounds in 1 week. Im sure it was just water weight..BUT im back at what i started about a month ago.. :D So all im really asking, is that you pray for me today.. i need it!!

Big High Five for staying sober for the day! Not only do you feel better, but you're saving money and calories, too! Win win! And so difficult. Why not take a portion of the money you would have spent on drinks and create a reward fund of some type as an incentive to stay off the sauce?

Perhaps some volunteer work would help fill your time, keep you moving, and make you feel useful and worthwhile - animal rescue organizations are always looking for people.

You are doing the right things; keep your eye on the prize and don't let a stormy day or two blow you too far off course.

I like Woubbie's idea, some regular, interesting way to spend your Saturday.

Boredom will get you every time. Can you schedule something for every Saturday, like a class (something exotic, maybe, like fencing or belly dancing! Our local Parks and Recreaction actually offers those now and again and they're not expensive at all.)
