Its fun to shock yourself!!! I need to do it more often!!!

Saturday, June 09, 2012

Yesterday, I went on the recumbent bike for the first time since the knee replacements and YES!!! two 40 minute times...I can't believe I was able to do that. It even helped the the restless legs I have been getting from taking the pain meds.
The other shocking thing.....meds are down finally again...pain meds only a couple times aday (that will go down as I get my knees back into working order) I was taking them every 4 hours. Icing seems to help the most now "I can't believe it finally!" anyway the meds are now cut in half and soon I will get off the pain meds except when really needed. That will rock!
It felt so good to shock my hubby when he said ok be careful just do 20 minutes on the bike and I did 40 twice!!! I could see the look in his eyes ...fun stuff heheh!
The walking with a cane stuff is rough but better each day (only been 3 days so far)
The eating better is trying to take hold. Funny but when I get the exercise in I don't want to over eat because it takes away the good I feel by exercising.

So my eyes are watching to see how I can shock myself.....again and again!!!

This a good shock, eh? And surprising yourself by wanting to keep the good feeling and not eat unhealthy is even better! Yay, YOU! Keep on Sparking!

You don't know how strong you are until you try. Cheryl, the world's your oyster -- enjoy it:)

I agree that exercise is the most powerful component to affect my food choices through the day. That's why it's important for me to exercise early in the day.

May you have a most wonderful weekend;)

Congratulations on getting back on the bike!!!!! I know how happy I was to even get the peddles around the first time after my knee replacement!!
I also found that the bike really helped get the flexability back in the joint.
Keep up the good work!!!
