Report Cards

Saturday, June 09, 2012

Today I must get report cards started! I won't have any time tomorrow. I'm clowning around at a corporate function and then I'm attending a family picnic.

I usually snack during report card time. I'm going to plan my eating with healthy snack and exercise breaks. I'm also going to make a mini salad bar to bring to tomorrow's picnic and a low-cal dessert. These are not only to share with everyone but also to ensure that I have things I can eat and feel good about.

Since I have been more mindful of what I'm putting in my body, I am feeling better than ever! The weight is slowly coming off and that feels good, too.

Do you have any strategies that you use to stay on track during tempting times? Leave me a comment. I'd love to hear from you!

    Hey,
dropped by to thank you for following and commenting on my blog. Yes, g.s.'s teeth look great, I even saw him brushing them this a.m. A lot of a 10 y.o.. Wow, $20K!!!!! I claim that one of my teeth cost me $5K... it was broken by a dentist, then filled, then a root canal, then a crown, and then the pin in the root canal broke within 2 yrs. and I had to have it extracted and then a partial denture made..... I think we are in the wrong business... teachers don't get paid like that!!!

I have a couple of snacks that are quick and easy and lo cal for when I am in control... 1/3 cup bran buds mixed with a lo cal yogurt - very filling and hi fibre..... and also a 5 cal jello mixed with a lo cal yogurt...... kind of a nostalgic treat from childhood (when it used to be ice cream) and the biggest of all, my motto which I don't seem to follow too much lately is
PRIOR PLANNING PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE!!!

I set up private competitions with friends. We hold each other accountible that way. I also reward myself. For every 10 times I thwart a "real" temptation, I get a reward!
