Thanking God for His blessings...

Friday, June 08, 2012

Some read on my feed that I had an accident yesterday. Headed out the back door, forgetting that the deck wasn't clear up to the door yet, and went through the hole, then fell forward landing on my shoulder where I heard a snap. I'm bruised, hurting, and barely able to move this morning. AND today is the surprise going away party for my best friend. Yesterday I got much done, but today I was going to be making homemade buns for the BBQ chicken and egg salad that I made. WELL-------and I should have a DRUM ROLL--------I woke up this morning to 6 bags [a total of 66 buns] in bags on the counter made by my 16 year old Daniel with a note of love next to them!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!

I'm in AWE of God's goodness to me! I was dreading making these buns! Of course, I could just buy them, but my friend loves these buns, so this was kind of part of my going away gift to her. I couldn't be happier that it's DONE!

Thanks for your prayers as I say good-bye this weekend. Tonight is the going away party. Tomorrow night our friends are treating us to dinner at the Rittenhouse in Bayfield [a VERY fancy restaurant], and Sunday night we'll have a huge pizza party to send them off the next day. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Huge hugs, Susan

Don't you just hate it when you do something so stupid?!? It's like when I sawed my thumb. I should have had my gloves on and I should never have held the branch like that! Happy healing and isn't it awesome to have someone like your son pitch in to help without asking!!!
