Relay 4 Life tonight!!! WOOHOO!

Friday, June 08, 2012

As some of you may remember I participated in the relay 4 life in my community last year, had so much fun I am doing it again tonight!!!! I am SUPER PUMPED! This year I am team captain and although being sick slowed me down it did not take me out.

For any of you that do not know what this is, It is a 12 hour relay where although we act goofy and play games we stay up all night in honor of those who are fighting a battle with cancer and with those who have lost the battle. We raise money for cancer research and we light candles around the track in memory and in honor of those who have/had cancer. We do it all night because people with cancer experience a horrible 12 hours (give or take) after treatment and seeing the sun rise means they made it another day. We stay up all night and watch the sun rise in honor of those.

I am proud to be part of this! If anyone is interested the website is
This is dear to my heart as I have lost an aunt, grandma and my dad to this disease. My team has raised over $1100 for the cause. I am in Grand Bay NB and my team is RCL#22 Lads & Lassies. There is a wild west theme to the relay this

I hope everyone out there has an awesome weekend. I don't expect to be online as after being up all night I have breakfast duty, cupcake making duty, bar duty and then Sunday I have a birthday party booked for my "baby" who is about to be 6!
