Spent the last two weeks going extra gentle on my body, since I'm pretty sure I tore my calf muscle a bit during a Zumba class the other week. It wasn't as bad as I feared it would be not exercising to the same extent that I had been (I still did a couple of things, biked the kids to school, etc.), but it was just OK.
That being said, I went back to Zumba this morning and *wow* was it nice to be back. I was still very easy in my moves, but afterwards I was just that special kind of tired that only comes from Zumba. My body was so.very.happy!!!
Got another reminder last week that life is short - a sweet neighbor of ours unexpectedly passed away and it has just kind of put into perspective that I need to do this now, so I can enjoy life more now (not that I can't enjoy life 50 pounds heavier, but it is much easier to move when I'm lighter). By contrast, another friend of mine (with 4 year old twins!) just finished her first half marathon and so maybe running will be my next "new" thing?
