.....his munchies are now 3 potatoe chips, one square of chocolate, 5 peanuts.....whatever he chooses. Being that he has had gastric bypass sleeve, he does not eat much. He is down 80 lbs. since January 11th. It is difficult for me to watch him eating junk, even though it is in very small amounts. Not only is it difficult to watch, it is difficult to have in the house. I am pretty much able to stay away from it, but I seem to think about it often, only because it is in the house.
I am trying to have a fridge full of fresh fruit and cut up veggies available at all times, hopefully someday he will be drawn to them.
I have a hubby that is quite similar. He had a bowl resection last year, and lost quit a bit. Unfortunately, he won't eat right either. Even the problems the junk food causes him doesn't deter him.
Good luck to you. I have just given him his own section of the pantry and the top two shelves in the fridge. I don't look!
