Zoie's surgery update

Thursday, June 07, 2012

Zoie (my cat) made it through surgery with flying colors. Doc got all of the tumor and she has a long (way longer than I thought it'd be) row of stitches we have to monitor. Biopsy results will take 1-2 weeks to find out if it's benign or not.

While in there, I also had them do a full blood work: and I'm excited to say that all of her organs are working perfect! Age 14 and still running strong!

I got to pick her up before work. She was super loopy still, poor dear!

Saturday we start babysitting my aunts dog and cat while she's on vaca for three weeks. Its going to be hell! My aunts dog (my childhood dog that she cares for now, long story) is sickly lately and has had a ton of vet visits. Allergies mostly, but also fleas and (ew) warts! She has these weird wart things that, because of her flea allergies, she chews. Ew! So, we'll be monitoring all of that nastiness. Along with giving multiple meds.
And the cat is sickly. I don't remember what though. Hmm.... not sure. Maybe just fleas. But, she has meds too - but luckily my aunt gave her all of them, or else I'd be doomed. (Read the post on my previous blog from a fellow sparker - 20 steps to give your cat a pill, LOL!)

And then, my cat, obviously will still be healing.

Lucky for me, my dog will be healthy and hyper as a horse!! hahaha.
My house is a zoo.

Awww! Poor kitty! I'm glad she made it through surgery alright. I hope that your menagerie of animals over the next few weeks won't be too tough on you!

So glad the surgery went well!

I can't imagine how your will manage all the animal pals in your house? Find some way to take care of yourself, as well.
