There's a great coffee shop in my building's lobby. I try not to go there often as they have wonderful pastries that are hard to resist. Well, I'm not sure why, but I was thinking of their pear tart and wanted one soooooooooo bad. I almost went down there but then I remembered a recipe I saved in my Spark recipe collection (snacks under 200 calories) and I remembered a pear one. It was quick and yummy and I probably saved 500 calories by not getting the one downstairs:
Pears, fresh, 1 pear, medium (approx 2-1/2 per lb)
Pecans, chopped fine, 5 grams
Honey, 1 tsp
Peel, core, and slice pear. Heat in microwave for 1 minute. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle nuts and cinnamon on top.
