I noticed on Monday that I had been avoiding the mirrors in my house! I hated looking at my fatness. I would look into the mirror in the car because I can only see my face, but absolutely no mirrors that showed my full body. That was the last straw! I prayed and then I went and bought some slim-fast shake mix and lots and lots of fruit. Tuesday morning I set my clock and I was up at 5:45am exercising on my Wii Fit Plus (I bought this about 6 months ago and had only used it a couple of times). I started my shakes and I have been consistent for 3 days now. I know its a baby step but this is actually the longest I have stayed with both exercising and dieting. I know God is going to keep me on the right track! I have set small goals toward my overall end goal (lose 100+ pounds). I want to be able to CROSS MY LEGS at my Christmas dinner engagement!!!

    Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement! I chose Slim-Fast as a starter. I do plan on taking the next step to a lifestyle change over the next two weeks. Please help make me accountable for this. Thank you for your kind words and I have wanted to binge eat this week but God has kept me. We can do this and just reading your blogs and posts, I know that I am not alone. To God be the glory!!!

    You took the most important step(s)...prayer and seeking the Lord in the direction, HE would have you take. I choose HIS ways too.

I believe healthy meals are the key....even portion control in your current meals will make a difference. Consistency IS the key.Mirrors are not your enemy...they show you your beauty and progress both inside and out, use them.

LET'S DO THIS.......

    I agree with the other commenters. Eat some real food. Google "clean eating". It works! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

    I looked at your pictures, and you are beautiful! I love the one of you in the black dress. So no more avoiding mirrors, ok? :)

    I agree with PIXIE-LICIOUS, you're going to get burnt out REALLY quick on those Slim Fast shakes. They don't satisfy your actual food hunger. You're eventually gonna want to binge because you're not getting anything your really want. My biggest thing was portion control, I eat the same foods but I just limit myself to just one serving.

    Take the word "diet" out of your vocabulary. A diet is a temporary fix...what you need is a change in lifestyle. Make being healthy a priority. Think of health before you think of weight. Thats what works for me. I'm not a fan of Slim Fast, to be honest. I would rather eat real food. It satisfies me more than a shake would.Keep up the good work with exercising.
