My friend and I went to get a facial yesterday-- i was thinking it would be something like a peel or whatever; the massage with it... the whole bit. I read it was with a light (lumiere something) but I just thought it was some new fancy thing to go with it. I was wrong.
It was a huge light that was shining on your face for about 30 minutes. It was somewhat relaxing, trying to feel like the invasive light was sunshine and at one point I tried to think of how ocean waves sounded... My poor friend's eyes never got used to the light so she had half of her face covered the whole time. My face is now broke out but it was fun and we now have a place to go (and affordable I might add).
Anyways, I was proud that we actually got off our butts and did something fun. We got the facial from a groupon, which also lets us do 5 more things at this spa. We already scheduled something new for Friday. This place does massages and tanning so maybe we can make this something we do every week.
So for that part of my bucket list (#2 of doing some fun once a week) is not so hard! This Friday my friend is getting this hydro massage thing and I am doing this sauna thing.. I am very excited and hopefully we both will feel more relaxed this time!
Question though, why is it that at EVERY spa place the ladies are always so freakin' skinny? " Sure, I will take my clothes off for you to spray tan me, lady that is a negative size 12. " "What is that? Oh that is not a tarp. That is just my triple size pants and huge cup bra on the floor."
Boo. But besides that, spas are fun.
Other updates for my "Healthy Bucket list"... #1 with exercising has not been very well. It has been 2 days and I haven't exercised like I have wanted to. I did purchase an exercise ball (I loved them in my college days) and I went to blow it up and use it (I was VERY excited) and found out that someone tampered with the packaging and there was no plug. So I have to take it back which I hate doing, and for some reason yesterday it just made me more annoyed-- so i watched an hour of tv with my husband and went to be at 10. I will walk the dog tonight and take my broken ball back tomorrow to restart.

#3- Closet, I still have 2 days to get a cleaning in for this week. This is a must do. I am planning to take the "not wearing anymore" clothes to goodwill with my neice this Saturday. She doesn't know much about charity, so this will be good.
#4 & #5-I am eating healthy so far this week which has been saving me money! Bazinga!
