2/5 done! .....ALSO soy intolerance!!

Tuesday, June 05, 2012

So all has been well for me stil maintaining between 168-174 for the past year...still trying for 164 and lower BMI . Not to shabby...down 90 lbs and maintained!!!

At christmas my stomach issues were at the worst they have ever been...I was exhausted...run down...stressed/anxiety attacks daily...hair falling out on and on. Well I had been vegitarian for 6 months and the sickness was worse then ever......DIAGNOSIS...GLUTEN INTOLERANCE. ( Most veggie burgers are just wheat...so I was having those on wheat bread daily)..I needed testosterone shot and vitamin supplements to repair myself

After being GF for 5-6 months now my hair is growing my nails are....so much happier IBS is gone...depression is less by far!! ....

NOW we are doing low carb/ sugar free so my soy intake increased with the atikins products...and most SF items have soy....UGH so lethargic and ache all over....SOY INTOLERANCE as well...I can't win!!! ....I cut soy 3 days ago and am drinking tons of water and working out all week to kick start my system to being healthier !! :) 2/5 days done. I will not be taken down by this...its just a hiccup in the way of life...and in the end it just makes me a healthier me ...and better mom :)

Keira is 2 this month and liv is 4 in september....amazing how it feels to be healthier and Asthma/ obesity free !

I totally understand the frustration of a soy intolerance. It's in everything! I can't even have foods that have soybean oil nor "natural ingredients" either. Natural ingredients have been my problem spot lately because it is a good way for companies to "hide" soy from what I've learned. So, I avoid anything that says "soy" or "tofu" or "natural ingredients" or "shoyo Sauce" (I think that I'm spelling that correctly). The big ones are anything soy and those "natural ingredients". Good luck with your goal to avoid soy!

I recently discovered soy intolerance too. It completely sucks because soy and soy lecithin is in almost everything. I feel your pain! emoticon

You are AMAZING! Sorry about all the intolerance - but at least you are figuring it all out. Way to go!
