Isn't it funny how sometimes all we need is a quick swift kick in the rear?

I went to see my naturopath today for my routine check up. She gave me a clean bill of health, for the first time since I first saw her last October when I was dealing with missed periods, deep depression, fatigue, migraines, dry skin, constipation and excess weight. Well, I shouldn't say a clean bill of health, apparently I'm still struggling with my weight, but the rest is gone! I feel super now all the time, never down, depressed or tired. I think it's the kale. :) Maybe it's the adrenal support, the liver protein powder, the probiotics, and the estrogen support powder or the mostly raw vegan diet. Whatever it is, I feel like a new person.

Anyway.... she also gave me the bad news too... I've regained all the weight I lost this winter. I'm back up to 170 lbs. Wow.... six weeks ago I was 164 lbs. :( Eye-opening. This past weekend after indulging in wheat and sugar I suffered the consequences with massive bloating (think 5-6 months pregnant) and severe abdominal pain. Clearly falling off the wagon was NOT worth it. So here's the deal:

On June 20 - 29 I'm participating in a world wide cleanse program called Cleanse America:
They send you everything you need to do a ten day cleanse... recipes, support... juices, smoothies, salads, etc. I'm very excited to try it out.

I'm also eating a clean diet consisting of primarily raw vegan foods, but with beans and sprouted grains thrown in for good measure for the next 90 days. This is going to make moving, camping and most summer outings so easy! I'll buy 75% of my groceries from the local farmers' markets and follow the Eat to Live eating plan when I'm not juicing or following the cleanse.

Oh! I'm so excited! :D I also want to start journaling my food and making daily blog entries. To keep myself accountable for exercise I've joined a six month exercise challenge on Facebook called The Gracious Pantry Exercise Challenge. I want to walk the dog minimum 20 minutes per day and do my Beach Body workouts as well. By September 5th I aim to weigh 155 lbs or less and weigh 145 lbs by Christmas.

Okay, so that's it for today. The kids will be home shortly for smoothies and snacks so I'd better run along. The dog is waiting for her walk and then it's home to do Chalean Extreme. :)

    I have to do my workouts while the kids are at school, because once they come home I just want to chill with them. I did get my walk in yesterday, but not my BB workout.

    You are motivated! I just checked out their website but it doesn't give you a lot of information about what's included in the membership or what you do.

    Good luck! I know you can do it. The workouts are fun and the meals are easy. Can't beat it!
