So, I'm almost 20% through my two-week, two-a-day class schedule. Hoping to get a shakeout run in on Friday, but I'm not going to obsess or stress about it.
I got a great compliment from one of my water interval participants, who said, "Have you lost weight? You look thinner." Indeed!
He did ask what I've been doing, and I told him (to his surprise): I gave up most of my cardio in order to build muscle and lose fat.
Glad to know that my side cut, very unforgiving workout suit also shows when I make some positive progress!
Also: I humbly ask cancer to go away for a while. Kind of full-up on cancer right now, thanks.
Also also: Have been following the recent spate of "zombie" stories in the news. Turns out that "bath salts" are a mixture of chemicals that mimic the effects of meth, PCP and LSD.

Apparently, there are people for whom heroin was simply not good enough for! Not saying they're actually zombies, but I'm not going to get close enough to take the pulse of a person who is tweaking, tripping and can't experience pain. Just sayin'.
Also, the third: Anyone else enjoy packing their own lunch rather than eating out at lunchtime? While having pizza or (mmm) Venezuelan food for lunch is a fun treat, I'd be comatose if I ate like that every weekday. If I don't have my regular lunch (big veggie salad with homemade dressing, cottage cheese & berries, and a granola bar), I get a bit grumpy. I *like* my lunch!
Okay, so maybe that says as much about me as it does about my co-workers.
I did pick back up with a Crystal Light-type drink in the afternoons - gotta have at least one bad habit!
What does your favorite lunch look like?
