Frustrated with myself

I am having a terrible time accomplishing anything. I am completely off-schedule and need to get myself back on track.

Why is this so much harder to do than to say???

My life works best if I get up at 6:30. I've been sleeping until 8, sometimes 8:30.

My garden is a complete mess, the house isn't much better. I have work things that need to get done. Life always feels like it has several more hours if I just get myself up at 6:30, because I have so much done by 9.

Tonight I will set that alarm. Tomorrow I will get up at 6:30.

Time to be the grownup again.

    I hear you. Are you sleeping well? Are you getting to bed at night? Why are you sleeping in? When I figure out those things, I do better at getting up in the morning.

Sometimes, I'm keeping later hours. Sometimes, I'm not sleeping well. Sometimes, I'm just extra tired.

I agree, though, that you will do more getting up two hours earlier. You will also have tome morning time to get exercise in before it gets hot.

    I always tell myself if I get up and get XXX accomplished, I can take a nap in the afternoon. I rarely take that nap but feel like I could as I usually get all my chores done.

    Tonight make your list of the 7 most important things you want to do tomorrow in order of importance.

Set your alarm and get started. Let us know if you get through all 7. If you don't put them at the top of your list for the next day!

I like what NELLJONES had to say - feet on the floor, wake up as you move. That way you're not thinking about things you want to avoid, things that drive you to pull the covers back up, until you're awake enough to face them.

    Maybe make a list tonight if you have some free time of a few things to do each day in the coming days. A few little tasks each day adds up to lots of work!

    The hardest part of getting up is putting feet on the floor. Think like a fireman: feet on the floor, wake up as you move.
