The Full Moon Made Me Do It

Monday, June 04, 2012

On my way home from class tonight, a song came on that I always thought I'd have played at my funeral. While it was on, I noticed the HUGE full moon rising at which point I got all verklempt and felt it necessary to drive past the house that my late friend lived in. Even though I know better, I always half expect the lights to be on and a dog (or five) to be in the yard. The house was dark and so was my heart. I continued to drive to the beach to watch the moon rise over the lake. When I pulled into the park, there were a bunch of high school girls line dancing and giggling. Seeing them, it was hard not to smile. So I watched the moon rise with Briggsy on my lap and was a little less sad.

Awwwww! HUGS! And having had experiences like yours where something just inside me compels me to do something I wasn't thinking about doing, I understand. When my brother died this happened a lot. Silly, I know, but to me it felt like he was just telling me he was alright, he missed me, but carry on! I think your friend was letting you know too. HUGS HUGS and more.
