Week end recap and future plans... (long)

Oh, I really don't know what to think of this past week. I can't even remember how my workouts went and I don't think I logged too much of them. I don't know why; not even my WODs. I can say that I did well (what I consider well) with my dietary change. I ate, primarily, fruits and veggies, with some almonds, oatmeal and peanut butter (natural, of course) and brown rice mixed in. The last that I knew, I had lost 2 pounds already and this weight was taken AFTER the bacon incident the other day! lol I haven't weighed myself in a few days though, so I have no clue. I felt as if I may have overindulged a bit this weekend, as it seemed like I was constantly eating, but it was still pretty clean. All except for the Ranch Parmesan dressing I found for my broccoli, chicken and potato dinner last night. It was listed as "all natural" and the ingredients were pretty limited, but it still felt wrong, even if it did taste good! :) I have had no dairy, excess chemicals or grains other than what I just listed. Oh! I did find some deli meat that mostly fit my dietary goals and I was starving, so those were enjoyed without guilt too! lol For the most part, I feel good. My digestive system and stomach seem to like this diet. In addition, I feel like I have more energy. I paid attention every night at work and the 2:30am crash that had become my norm seemed much less severe, if it happened at all. My intentions are to stick with it, but add more meat to my diet. I will have to see how that goes and adjust as necessary.
As for my workouts, this weekend was fun. I took a "mini-vacation" and stayed over in an area with a significantly larger population and significantly more options when it comes to gyms. I took advantage of free trial/class offers and checked out some different places. First I did a yoga class. I was intimidated by this and don't know if I liked it while it was going on, but I loved how I felt after. It made me feel good when the "instructor" told me that she would prefer me in a more intermediate class, as I am fit enough and take instruction well enough. I think more yoga is definitely in my future. While it would be great to take more classes, scheduling with my third-shift work schedule may just be an issue.
I took another class at one of the more "upscale" gyms that was a Les Mills BodyPump class. I hate muscular endurance training like I hate flexibility training! lol I like the gym, but not so much for the equipment. It is the diversity of the classes that they offer. It would be nice to throw in a class of some sort, once or twice per week, just to break up some monotony or to learn something new.
The gym that I liked the best is one called Ultimate Athletics. They offer classes in Muay Thia, Brazilian Jujitsu and boxing, primarily. I took a boxing class and really think that I would enjoy that, as well as the Muay Thai. The gym is a bit intimidating, with its boxing ring, caged rings and what would probably be a great area to do some WODs, in addition to all of the amazingly fit people their doing their workouts or classes, but I think I could get over that. I was told that there were Crossfitters there quite regularly and that was pretty neat (as well as obvious, as the setup was great for it), but the issue again lies in the scheduling of the classes. They are 45 minutes away and the classes would leave me hours before or after work to find something to do.
So...I think I am looking for direction again - a program to follow. I do well enough on my own for a little while, but then I start to feel as if I am floundering/directionless. I can keep on with the WODs, but I think I am going to add the Brazil Butt Lift program to my workouts. It is an area that I feel I need work on, so I may as well try it. I paid for the darn program! lol
So...keep eating clean(er), keep running 3x per week, keep doing my WODs 4-5x per week and add the workouts off of the BBL schedule. I will try to throw some yoga in there. You know, I may just do before and after pictures and measurements for this one. I have never done that before and it might be nice to see if I can see a difference. I WILL LOG MY WORKOUTS ALL WEEK, but since I haven't been counting calories AT ALL this week (and boy was that a freeing feeling that I have enjoyed immensely), there won't be any food entries. At the end of the week, I will see how well I do and feel.
