Having your 90 Year old Mom live with you.

Saturday, June 02, 2012

You might think that it would be very hard. There are hard things about it, to be sure. My mother said the nicest thing to me one day. She said "God is going to reward you someday for what you've done for me." On hard days, I recall that, and it gets me through them. She is truly a gift.

Debby you are right, there are hard things, but there are very many rewarding things too. Some you won't realize until she isn't with you any longer. Give her a hug for me today!
My parents live with me the last 2 yrs of their lives. The Lord called them home just 5 weeks apart. How I miss them and how thankful I am they were with my family and I!!
My Dear Mom was like yours and very appreciative and sweet. I hope I will follow her example as my children have told me they are following mine of having my parents with me when they needed more care. :)
We are blessed Ladies, for sure!

Debby, that was a wonderful statement
that your Mom said to you. You will
    always remember those sweet words.
I take care of my 92 yr. old Mom, but
she doesn't live with me yet. Things
really do get hard sometimes, but I
wouldn't have it any other way. emoticon
