Consistency

Saturday, June 02, 2012

I was thinking about consistency the other day and reading about people who leave Spark and then come back to it. Some people may see them as inconsistent but y'know, on a positive note they are consistently coming back. They never give up. Life gets in the way sometimes or battles with food and physical or mental issues, but they keep coming back.

I am not tutting my own horn here but I was getting down on myself for not being on Spark for a month and not being able to get that exercise in even though I was physically and mentally exhausted every day. But, then I thought, hey, I am back right?

And that's what counts. Have a good day everyone! emoticon

I completely agree with you. Making lifestyle changes in our already hectic lives is VERY difficult. I am proud of every person who doesn't give up. It's the key to success even though it may not feel like it. You didn't quit. You just paused.

I'm proud of you! I'm happy to see you back.

Glad you are back! Never forget, Spark is here for you, not the other way around. Spark was never intended to cause us stress when life gets in our way. It is here to help us, not give us another obligation. All journeys have bumps in the road. Enjoy the next leg of your trip!

Good blog - I am one of those who lost a lot of weight with Spark and then gained a majority of weight back when I stopped visiting the site. I thought about not coming back again - the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results right? I have tried that insane approach to many different diet avenues, so much so that my weight loss and gain probably have become a joke to some who know me. The obvious answer seemed to be to just give up since I had failed at every plan out there. Twenty pounds lighter and a thousand times better physically and mentally I am so glad that I did not give into that defeated attitude. Hopefully this healthful lifestyle will endure my entire life but if I do backslide into unhealthy habits I will not give up. Those who laugh will have cause to keep laughing because I am never giving up. And obviously neither are you !
Best of luck to you !
