It's been a busy week, not as much time for Sparking as usual. I've also decided not to waste my and everybody else's time writing blogs when I really don't have much to say.
I'm currently at 158, still shooting to make it to 154 by July 4 (picked July 4 because it is easy to remember!) The last several weeks have presented me with lots of challenges in eating properly. I've been doing well eating healthy breakfasts and lunches, but I have just completely forgotten about eating well at dinner. I have been staying within my calorie and fat ranges with just a couple of exceptions, but I really should not budget 350 calories into my daily allowance for a Chocolate Drumstick! With my boyfriend's father passing away last month, and all the issues that has brought to our household, I have been emotionally tired and making bad decisions at the grocery store. I really need to just avoid certain aisles completely - I intend to pick out a "healthier" snack, then get one that is pretty bad. Need to turn that around this month!
Also I have not been good at all about exercising on any sort of regular basis. I really need to focus on that.
This is my weekend to work, I'm going to heat up my lunch in the microwave. I brought "zucchini parmesan" - a cut up zucchini with some leftover spaghetti sauce on it. I usually puree some italian seasoned diced tomatoes, which is healthier, but I figured this would be a good way to use up the last bit of sauce. I sprinkle a little good grated parmesan cheese on top and it is delicious! Low cal, low fat, and lots of potassium too!
After work I'm going to meet my boyfriend downtown at the Fringe Festival. Lots of performances of all kinds. We really look forward to it every year, it lasts for about ten days, and we spend the better part of the weekend and a couple of evenings watching the shows. The difficult part is that we eat in restaurants for dinner. Last night we ate at a Vietnamese place where I had a tofu spring roll and a bowl of vermicelli with a ton of sprouts, lettuce, and carrots on top. I left a lot of the noodles behind. Not sure what we'll be having this evening but I'm keeping my pre-dinner calories low so that I can afford the splurge. At least it will be real food rather than ice cream!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
