Trail's end for Mr. Wonderful

Saturday, June 02, 2012

I'm off to pick up Mr. Wonderful this weekend. Have a wedding to go to first and then as soon as I get up tomorrow I'm off to Delaware to meet the weary warrior and bring him home....But, not without spending a few days at the beach. He unfortunately got cellulitis from a cut on his ankle so he had to ride the sag wagon for a couple of days. I just know he was crushed that he couldn't climb those mountains in West Virginia! Not!

I am so proud of him for undertaking this ride. It's something he's wanted to do since he was a teenager, and I know he'll be proud to be part of an elite group who have bicycled across the country. It is such an accomplishment, but I will be so glad to have him home again.

I don't bake, but I wanted to do something nice for the firemen who rescued the ducklings, and I do have a friend who works in a

duckie cookies!

Glad to hear all is well with the cyclist....and you too. :-)
Don't be hard on yourself. Ups and downs are normal.

Now that Mr. Wonderful has had a taste of cross country touring he is HOOKED.
He'll always want to do it again.

I love that your gift was a gift for them and what they would appreciate and not a point being made with lifestyle of your choice. Your heart and head are completely joined and with style and flare...yes life is GREAT!!

I know you've missed your man. You have both faced challenges these last few months and you've both triumphed.

Those ducklings were lucky ducks to have you pass by and lucky to have such great firemen in the area. SO love the duckling cookies.
