This has been a strange week.

Saturday, June 02, 2012

I was frustrated at the beginning of the week because my scale went up instead of down although I had stayed in my calorie range and had exercised as much as my work schedule allowed. The only change is that I added a more intensive strength training. Maybe I gained muscle. I was determined not to get discouraged and press on.

A few days ago, I had a major temptation at work. A tray of cinnamon rolls was brought in and given to our unit to celebrate an event. I wanted one and started rationalizing how I could eat one. One cinnamon roll would have been probably 1/3 of my caloric intake for the day. I waited and didn't give in immediately. A few hours lated there was only a few left on the tray, but by that time I really didn't feel tempted anymore.

Good news is that my scale is once again going down. I'm half way to my first weight loss goal.

Oh My! I LOVE cinnamon rolls, too, and have to fight like crazy not to eat one! Thank goodness I am only exposed once in a blue moon!

Great job for not giving in!
