Well, what a week this has been. I joined the sleep challenge when I saw it on another person's page. It seemed like a good idea at the time. The first thing I did, after reading a few articles, was to set up the sleep journal. I tried making my bedtime entries, then going to sleep. All that thinking just amped my mind up, and I had a hard time getting to sleep. I got up to check something on the computer and ran into a problem on my computer that took hours to straighten out. Result? About 3 1/2 hours of sleep that night. I haven't had a night like that in years.
Then, of course, I was called in to work the next day. Work has been a whole other part of the story. Everything seemed to go wrong for the crews I've been working with. Result? I've been working crazy long hours with few breaks, and no scheduled lunches. And walking way farther than usual. But it's really thrown my sleep goals out the window. I've been getting home late, tired, and not particularly hungry, eating my prepared breakfasts and lunches at odd moments, usually for dinner.
I've certainly been loosing weight, I've managed to get in my exercises each day. But the blogging and forum posts have gone right out the window. Even my poor chickens haven't been getting all the attention they're used to.
And now my scheduler has me working today, Saturday as well, and possibly Sunday. I don't think I'll be doing that though. I need at least a little rest, and Monday is another day.
