something to think about

Friday, June 01, 2012

I weigh myself everyday to keep myself on track, but I found this picture on Operation Beautiful and just wanted to show it to everyone. Sometimes I get down when I see the numbers go up, and sometimes that affects my mood. I plan to weigh myself everyday to keep myself on track, but I will remind myself that it is just a number, it doesn't define who I am and it doesn't change what I have already accomplished!!

I do the same thing. It's good to remind myself I don't have to do it everyday and not to base my mood on my scale. emoticon

Thank you for this blog. I like that you are not letting the scales dictate your life. May these words from Psalms56:4 bring you comfort. "In God I will praise his word in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me."

Love your blog. It is so important not to let the scales tell us what our efforts and self worth are. I know I have been trying very hard even though the scales actually went up making me feel really bad about myself for a few seconds until I gave myself the Spark pep talk.
I want to set a goal of weighing myself once a week and stick to it. Weighing my efforts and progress every day is a better option for me then using the scale to measure my weight on a daily basis.

I weight everyday too (a few times a day actually). I feel less focused on the number because I see it fluctuate so much. Lovely message.

Though I love the message in the image, I don't support weighing in EVERYDAY. Weight fluctuates and I hop you are taking measurements as well. Good luck.

Way to go Pam! Our scales are just one tool in this journey, and definitely do not define us. You're doing great, and you're amazing!
