six pounds this month, which I like better than last month's one pound.
But more than that, I really see changes in my body this month. The Egg, my pet name for my stomach, is now really diminished. It's no longer egg-like, really, although it still protrudes more than I'd like. But the fact that I see it deflating means that if I keep on this path, it will continue going down. I also see my sides whittling in, so that I'm really starting to have what one would call "a figure," and what others (me) would call "less of a solid block-like shape."
So, why six pounds this month? Of course I don't know, but I think because:
-- I started eating more. I'd been cleaving pretty closely to the low end of my range (1200), but this month have been mostly at the high end (1500). I think I need those calories.
-- my body is finally catching up to my workouts. I can see and feel so many muscles, and I think last month the low weight loss was the building up of muscles. I think it's starting to even out now.
But I don't expect this month to go as well; not least because I'll be on vacation for two weeks, and therefore not doing my regular workouts and not in control of my food as much. So while I don't anticipate gaining while I'm gone, I also don't see myself losing as much this month.
I think the monthly weigh-ins are much better for my sanity, particularly at this point in the game. I'm 95 pounds down out of a projected 120. So with 25 theoretical pounds to go, things ought to slow down, and when I don't weigh myself as often, I'm more likely to judge my progress by real standards, like adherence to my workout schedule and eating regimen, and by how I look and feel.
So, anyway, off on vacation for a couple weeks, although I might check in now and then. Talk to you all later!
