Make that TWO pounds down this week!

Yesterday it seemed as though I spent all day running to the restroom. I assumed my body was releasing lots of water and when I jumped on the scale I was right. I am now a total of TWO pounds down this week!!

I also measured myself. I've lost another inch in my waist and another inch in my hips. That brings my total to three inches lost in my waist and two inches in my hips.

Thanks to you, my Sparkfriends, for encouraging me, cheering me on and for being so compassionate and understanding while I was on my plateau and wondering if I would ever see results. You all told me to stick with it, keep pushing forward and NOT to give up. I kept working the plan and now the WHOOSH effect of months in the gym and writing down every bite, lick and taste is finally here!

Sometimes we lack faith and when we lack faith we quit. Just because we're not seeing results on the scale or in our measurements does not mean that our bodies are not benefiting.

I read a theory somewhere on the internet that when we plateau, it means that our bodies are repairing themselves--getting the blood sugar and blood pressure down, cleaning the plaque out of our arteries, adjusting enzyme and hormone levels, etc. The body retains the energy it needs until it is satisfied with these repairs, adjustments, and "upgrades" to these critical functions. Once the body is satisfied with the repairs, it will release weight.

Who knows? It could be true. But right now, I'm celebrating!!
