Working a desk job is hard on my healthy plan.

I think it will be easier for me to do this if I can find as many things to do while I am at work that keep my mind off eating. Blogging is one of those things. :D I work 13 hour shifts three days a week answering phones at a hospital. We get two 15 minute breaks but no lunch break so I have to eat as I am working. It is a desk job, so I am basically sitting down for 12 1/2 hours a day.

I have started walking the halls of the hospital on my breaks, which helps a lot but I need to keep reminding myself to stand up from my desk and stretch regularly.

It is hard to distract myself from wanting to eat out of boredom. Everyone around me is eating all the time because they are bored too, so that adds to my frustration. I have been trying to do things that keep my hands busy. I give myself manicures or tweeze my eyebrows or read. I need to come up with more distraction ideas.

This is a meandering first blog post. It kept me busy for a minute, though. Most of my posts will probably be like this. Rambling to keep my mind and hands busy and my mouth away from food. So far, so good.
