It's been a week, how am I doing?

I'm doing better at this than I had anticipated. I was expecting to have given up by now. I'm very happy that I haven't.

So how am I doing this week?

emoticon Water - I'm drinking at least twice what I was before last week but still not exactly as much as I should. But I'm counting it as a win. Drinking 64 oz of water a day has always been a challenge and I feel I'm doing pretty good at working up to it.

emoticon Sleep - I'm getting the sleep I need thanks to a very soft pair of earplugs. Unfortunately, I'm not falling asleep until the wee hours of the morning, but I'm staying asleep like I should. I need to get my timing worked back out, but that will come as I exercise more. I've also switched to "1/2 Caff" coffee. I mixed equal parts regular and decaf coffee. I think that's helping with my sleep too.

emoticon Nutrition - I'm still struggling with eating breakfast, my instinct is to skip it. Then I struggle with the munchies once I do start eating. I'm working on it. I'm having some success so that's a good thing.

emoticon Fitness - I'm on track to meet my fitness goal of 1100 calories burned on my treadmill for the week. That is a SUCCESS!

I would never expect myself to drop bad habits and be "perfectly healthy" without a struggle. I know this kind of lifestyle change is harder than sitting around being unhealthy...otherwise I wouldn't have gotten so unhealthy to begin with.

    Hey Marie! 'Saw' you on my friend feed...glad your back :)

It looks like you are doing well....progress not perfection, right? You're getting more water in one weeks time and it takes a while to work up to 64 oz if you aren't used to it. Keep working on it and it will become habit soon.

It took me a looong time to eat breakfast on a daily basis. I'm just not hungry when I wake up. Someone once told me it's because I was eating so much at night but I've stopped snacking after supper and I STILL have trouble eating breakfast. I finally started having a protein shake in the mornings and that seems to be working. You'll find what works best for you.
