Just Dance!!!

Thursday, May 31, 2012

So a very inspiring spark friend of mine does these awesome vlogs.
Hint, cough, ANGELWENDYMAMA, cough, hint.
Great dance party videos and hooping and things that really inspire and motivate to get you moving too! I love them but I admit I don't have a video camera to do my own, not to mention I just don't have the courage to do them. Way to go girl!

However! I started thinking... Hey, Why not!?!

I admittedly did not want to be anything more than be a couch potato today. I wanted to just lay like vegetables. I wanted to over utilize my large posterior all friggin day long. I guess, I could have just said... I didn't wanna do anything but what's the fun in that?

Anyway, Thanks to my lovely friend JUST-DUCKY, (Also, my partner in the 28 day bootcamp challenge), I was able to get off my bootay and did our video of the day. Day #11 done! WooHoo!

Which in turn got my blood pumping and gave me that bit of umph we all need sometimes to workout or even just to do some housework. I strapped on that good ole reliable ipod of mine and started doing some dishes. Long before I even knew it I was shaking "IT" like a mad woman as I scrubbed. I was having myself a little dance party while getting a chore done! How awesome is that?!?

I finished the ominous work of doing 5 days (yeah, I've been slacking, I know) of pots, pans, casseroles and dishes all the while moving my voluptuous rear end to the music. When I turned off the water however, the shake didn't leave my rattling rolls. Ha!

I cranked up the tunes and danced. I know dancing is my favorite, I mean, FAVORITE form of cardio, then why don't I do it more often? Because it isn't as easy as it used to be when I was younger, that's why. Also, if you are anything like me, you probably don't really want to do it in front of others either. Nevertheless, it is still my favorite!

So why not? If you get 5, 10, 15, 20 or more minutes to yourself. Why not? No one will be around to judge. No one will see you sweat and pant and be a fool. Dance like a fool! Have fun! Let loose! And you will lose!

So, if you love music like I do. If you even like to sway a little to that music. Then, I say, Throw yourself your own little dance party.

(Maybe no chocolate or maybe, just a very, ity bity small piece because it is just that good (and okay in moderation!)
The point is in the above quote is...
It's okay to laugh at yourself. To have fun. To live it up. To shake it up.
Get busy! Move! Live! Dance!!!

Oh and here are the songs that I danced to after I did the dishes... I wasn't paying attention till then. When I was just having myself, my own private dance party...

Hands Up! by The Black Eyed Peas

Tonights the Night by Pink

It's a Feel Good Thing by S Club 7

Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heros featuring Adam Levine

This is Your Night by Amber

Hope you enjoy and move your body too! emoticon

YES! This is great and I agree. If you like it, If you love it WHY NOT DO IT!!! A little dance party is the best!! Yesterday I was coming up the stairs to my apartment after my jog and my iPod was blasting away and I DANCED like a total idiot in the hallway because the music just couldn't be ignored. I was lucky and non of my neighbors came out. I would have died for about 2 seconds before I ran in my apartment and continued dancing like a total dork. It was fun! Thanks for giving me a little motivation this morning to get off my bum and shake it instead! Have a great Friday!!

So happy to have inspired ANYONE.. but very glad it was you. ;)
You rock, my friend! :) Thanks for the music links to check out..

DH just told me the other night that I might as well buy some songs to play. WHAT? I was like, "Wait, so I can use my phone like an iPod??" He didn't know I didn't know that.. Uhoh! Now I have to figure out where and how to buy music! HEEE! There's about 20-30 songs I really enjoy dancing to that would be good to get.

Oh, and the Boot Camp challenge.. Is week two just a repeat of the same seven day videos? I'm a little confused.

YAY for you! Keep dancing. You should think about trying zumba. I've done a little. It's a workout. But love to dance too so it's more fun than exercise. And you can go at your own pace too. Keep up the good work!
