Yesterday was kind of a motivational turning point for me in my 5k training. I've been working on my running endurance for two weeks now and I finally don't feel like I'm going to die at the end of my workout, which is great! It leaves me feeling super pumped and ready to conquer the next day. Yesterday I felt so good that I doubled my 5k workout and did 60 minutes of interval running/walking instead of 30. I felt awesome! I also got in some elliptical and a good session of weight training. The best part is that I'm not really sore today at all- just my shoulders. But I'm ready to hit the gym again today! (:
I also felt really motivated by SparkPeople yesterday. I spent some of my time at work posting on the message boards and whatnot, and I took the motivation I got out of other people and channeled it into my workout, which worked out fantastically. I felt really confident and pushed myself to work harder.
