Time isn't the best indicator - my opinion on turbofire

Whew! I just finished turbofire HIIT15. I think this is my favorite workout, at least until tomorrow when I do a different turbofire workout. emoticon

I have been doing some of the longer workouts in order to burn those nasty calories I've been taking in due to graduation parties. Today, I only had time for a short workout so I choose HIIT15.

I think this video is way more intense than the HIIT25 video. This one has 9 series instead of 8 and only 3 variations instead of 4, so more workout time, less example time. I think the breaks between the workouts are shorter too.

I am so loving the turbofire workouts! The time flies and I am not constantly watching the clock.

Do you turbofire? If so, what is your favorite and why?

If you don't turbo, do you have two workouts where the shorter one is actually more intense than the longer one?

    I hope to try turbo fire soon. Sounds like a great workout and any workout that keeps you from watching the clock is a good one!

    My shorter workouts are by nature more intense.

When I'm pressed for time (20-30 minutes), I rev up the intensity pretty high....60 seconds on, 30 off for intervals......does the trick!

I think the lesson learned is, do what you enjoy for exercise....you should look forward to them

    oh yes - I know what you mean - I don't have turbofire but I got jillian. Most of hers after the first rep - there isn't much demostration - balls to the walls! I love how I can get such a great workout in 30 minutes compared to me going to the gym. I get so much more out of my workout at home!

    HIIT15 is one of my favorites, and I agree that if you are really going all-out, it can be more challenging than the longer HIIT workouts. For those who can't jump or don't have the endurance to keep up the intensity for more than a minute (you are only working for 45 seconds or so at a time in HIIT15, whereas the other ones have 60-70 second intervals), that might not be the case. But I take it to heart when Chalene says to tuck your knees up to your chest, so those back-to-back-to-back intervals (especially the third sequence) kick my butt -- in the best way possible!

Of the regular cardio workouts, I like 30 and 45 the best, and 45EZ is my Exercise Arch Nemesis. I guess it would be "EZ" if I didn't jump at every opportunity, but I feel like I'm slacking if I don't. And I like getting a short break after the Fire Drills, of which 45EZ has none!
