I have a lot of time off as this is only a part time job. The first couple of weeks, I didn't have the energy to do much else as I am not used to walking and lifting. I have a bad hip so there is also a pain factor. Tylenol is a miracle drug. Now, for my insurance story. It is amazing how things happen....lol
I went to the doctor as when he did my A1C, my numbers were higher so he put me on another med based on my horrible stomach problems. Well, this med had a generic component in it and I got ill. I was having side effects for over a month. I was very ill feeling and couldn't eat and a host of other problems. He switched me over to the name brand. No problems....just a little gas and a some constipation. Great drugs as the other side effects were horrible. Well, the drug company I have to go through decided I couldn't purchase these meds with my credit card and have to pay up front out of my bank account. Not happening. First, I don't always have $600 up front and, second, they are not getting my banking information. Not happening. The doctor generously gave me a months worth of samples and then he gave me two months worth of prescriptions to have filled with the drug company coupons. After that?? Who knows. We pay a lot for our insurance and are very disappointed since these are the meds I need to take. I have tried the generics and they didn't work and they made me sick. I felt better last night after talking to a friend that went through something very similar and she had to start taking something else. It doesn't work as good, but some is better than none.
