He Made It!

I just had the most wonderful weekend in years! I was surrounded by family who had flown in for Josh’s Valedictorian speech and commencement ceremony. It was a massive event held in Reliant Stadium. My brother and his wife who live across town from me joined us for two days. I was thrilled to give my SIL a quilt for their first baby.
I am relieved there are no more banquets and ceremonies to attend; prom and Project Graduation are over. It will be a hectic month with Josh going to Italy/Greece, leaving the two of us packing to move, but a good thing happened this weekend that is allowing me better sleep.
Me & my kids
I’m sure you’ve heard the news release about the Skechers lawsuit? While Skechers are not my favorite ‘roller’ shoe, that is what I’m currently wearing. The lawsuit doesn’t apply to me; I’ve not fallen nor had pulled muscles. What I have had is leg pain for months. With all my knee issues, it took a long time to realize and in the past two week, my ankles had begun to hurt. None of this is really noticeable when I am up & moving around (just like with my knees), but when I go to bed I have been miserable. My brother was all over me and the light went on. Between him and my mother, there was no way I was keeping those Shape-Ups on my feet – and I haven’t had them on since. The pain is lessening with each passing day.
I really like this guy.
I guess little brothers can be good for something.
Eating will be undisciplined as we work to eat what is here ahead of the move. As soon as I get some new shoes, I will begin walking again.
