Day 4 Spring into Summer Challenge

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

Today has been a good day so far. I am weezing and having a little difficulty breathing. Other than that I am feeling much better than yesterday. I already did my strength training and cardio. I am 1/2 done of my water and cals and that is good this time of day. I went to the library and got the book Carly's Voice. It is a book co-written by a non-verbal autistic teen and her father. She was not able to communicate until she was 11 years old and communicates by typing.

When Lavinia gets home I think we will go back because we are getting close to finishing her book in the Dear Canada Series about being an immigrant to Canada in 1926 and going out west. There are a lot of books in the series based on historical events and there is also a similar American series. Since we are Canadian though we are going through the Canadian series first. The first book we read was about a 12 year old girl who survived the Titanic. Right now there are about 3 available at the library now and if there is a selection I would rather her make the choice instead of me.

I know I'm 80's old school because I can name at least half of the members of the elite "Brat Pack" of young actors starring in The Breakfast Club and St-Elmos Fire. Are you kidding? I loved them all. Molly Ringwald, Alley Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Emilio Esteves, Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, and James Spader. I think Charlie Sheen and Matt Dillon were in there as well but they were not in those two movies.

I remember watching something on the TV at the gym about Carly and her parents. Very interesting story there.
