It's been so hot here, and we've been sleeping with a window A/C for the last few nights. This morning, I set the alarm so that I could get a walk in before I started work. It was so cozy in bed that I didn't want to get up, but I knew we were supposed to get rain today, so I forced myself to get out of bed. I'm glad I did. It's much cooler this morning, and there was a break in the rain. Max and I got out and did our walk around our block. It's about 1.6 miles, and we did it in 30 minutes. There is a fairly steep hill in the beginning, and it was a lot easier to do that today than in the past, so we must be making some progress. We did a little jogging.
When I was filling out my goals here on SparkPeople, I noticed a 10 minute video for strength training at your desk. Wow, what a great video for me. I have BPPV - which is a type of vertigo that happens when I'm in certain positions. I am not able to do workouts on the floor, so being able to do these in a chair is awesome for me. I've added it to my weekly goals, since strength training is lacking in my workouts.
Also, I listened to Bob Harper's book The Skinny Rules and he mentioned Greek Yogurt. I've cut a lot of dairy out of my diet, and I had tried Greek Yogurt before and didn't care for it. But, it was on sale this week and I figured I would try a few. The first one wasn't so good, but I've kept eating it and now I love it! Only one a day, but it fills me up and I'm good until the next meal.
