A few of my spark-friends have mentioned something called Nerd Fitness. And I got intrigued. I mean. I'm a nerd. I like working out. I like reading success stories (what kind of fitness site doesn't have success stories posted??). And ... did I mention I am a nerd?
So I decided to check it out. LOVED IT! Steve is hilarious. I got crazy inspired, read tons of great success stories, and was able to formulate a new semi-plan for myself.
I was really inspired by his Go Right blog. You should read it. Awesome-ness. Read the whole thing here: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blo
or here's the summary: There is a super awesome video showing video game characters running. Then running some more. Then he talks about how it is about keeping your workouts simple. And taking it one step at a time. And just go. Actually - just read his blog. It is better than I can portray :)
Started off the week on a pretty bad note. I spent the weekend not eating well. I tracked it all (dear God! please don't go look at my tracker!!) and I did some spinning. I was able to see a friend yesterday and spent a few hours in the sun. Then last night happened. My friend invited me over for mojitos and lawn-games. Ended up getting really trashed. Whoops. This is what I lookd like this morning at 7 when I had to go to work
So I've been guzzling water like no bodies business today trying to re-hydrate. I skipped my workout tonight. I was still feeling pretty crummy and didn't think I could handle the intensity. It made me sad to delete that off my tracker though :( I am doing two tomorrow though! I have a riding lesson in the morning and Zumba tomorrow night!
I am going to be in my first horse show in a few weeks. It is just a little schooling show but I am super excited. I bought my first pair of breeches. I am a little ordered because as you might know, breeches are crazy form fitting and also I ordered them online so who even knows if they'll fit right!
I've scheduled my workouts all in for the week and am managing my hectic schedule. Working two jobs is actually difficult - I don't recommend it! And I've planned my workouts for the rest of the month. After reading NF, I plan on doing more lifting. I do my TRX class on Tuesdays but I think I'd like to add some after Zumba too. Seeing some of those transformations were pretty awesome. So I'm going to look into more strength training. I have to give mad props to Yoovie on this one too. She's been doing it all along :)
I am also going to switch to a more Paleo diet. Not totally because I love dairy and with too jobs sometimes processed is all I get. BUT I am going to try to cut down on carbs at night and add in more fresh freggies!!
I don't know how my weightloss is going. I decided not to weigh myself until June 1st. I jumped two feet in to a pretty intense (all least compared to what I was doing before) workout plan and I figured my body would revolt a bit at first. I am struggling to get enough water even though that is pretty much all I drink. Although I swear my thighs look thinner :) And no matter what it says, I will remember this:
Hope you all are doing great!!
