After a few months of yet again going down the wrong path I am starting again.

Have been seeing a therapist and just started to really commit to the process and am very lucky to have found someone I can connect with and trust and I kinda feel more peaceful within myself.

I am trying to learn that making it harder by setting huge goals is not the right approach and there is no reason why I should not try to make this easier not harder. Small steps and all that:)

Thats about it. First time back and just popping my head up to say hi.

I am Queen of starting over, it's what keeps us on an even keel, though I'm still 17lbs heavier than this time last year! But not for long! My head is back in the game after dithering all year so far! I swear I've lost and gained the same 10lbs at least twenty times this year.

    Starting over is my middle name. hmmm... maybe I need therapy too. This is a mental journey as much as a physical one... thanks for the idea ;)
I wish you the besk to luck this time around, maybe this is the one that will stick... I'm still trying to find something that works for me. I know what works, but sticking to it is my struggle...

    Excellent. I too have fallen off the pony more times than I care to think about - but with therapy, friends and clenched teeth I'm going for it again!

I'm glad to see you keep trying. This healthy living thing takes a bit of experimentation, a bit of trial and error. Don't give up. We'll get there.

    Welcome back David - hope you are feeling better - you are so right about taking baby steps - otherwise you are just self sabotaging - many small steps add up to great achievements - go for it.

    so good to hear from you again David, I was worried about you. Put small gaols in place, i think that it is easier to lose 2 or 5kgs than 10 or 20kgs. Do small baby steps.

    So good to hear from you. Small goals! That works for me. If I don't gain in a day, it's a winner for me. I lose at the rate of about a pound every 3 weeks, but I'll take it! emoticon
