Another Nice Day

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

It's another nice day here in So. Calif. Not supposed to get too hot yet, but the heat is coming.

Weight is holding at my lower rate - about the 4th day in a row. I had a little cup of ice cream yesterday and think it kicked my butt. Live and learn. So this morning, I woke up in the middle of the night and had to move to my recliner to sleep some more. I'm trying to keep the calories in the 1400-1500 range, but I went over about 50 yesterday.

But I got on the treadmill for the first time in a long time and walked 10 minutes - that is double what I've been doing when I walk around the library. I turned on Judge Judy and diverted my attention from the effort it took to walk. Didn't walk very fast but I kept it up. I had a glitch in my side when I got done, but it went away. Not sure what it was, but I don't think it had anything to do with my heart. I plan to do it again this afternoon.

Today, I am going to see the holistic doctor for some acupuncture and back adjustments and I should feel so much better. He has one chair in the acupuncture room that is sooo comfortable - I wish I owned one like it. I sleep like a log when I am in it - but if the room is crowded, I have to resort to what is available.

Debating about change my cable from AT&T to DirectTV. I even placed an order - it would save me about $30/month, but my son thinks this isn't a smart move as I have no problems with AT&T - it just costs too much. So, I have 2 days to cancel - not sure which is the right way to go. They want to tie me into a 2 year contract and there is a penalty if I have to move and cancel the service before the 2 years is up. So, that may not be a smart move in the long run. Plus Direct tv doesn't offer internet service and I would have to stay with AT&T which is not that cheap. Oh well. I'll figure it out.
