Here we go again

Last month I was "invited" by the NHS to go to my doctor's surgery for a routine health check - so I saw the nurse who said a certain age group is being targeted, so by process of elimination I think this must be the 60 - 65's. She said it was height, weight (gulp!), blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar levels to be checked. At the end of taking the measurements she said her magic machine would tell her what the percentage chance was of me having a heart attack in the next 15 years - my result was 13%.
That apparently is high as most ladies come up at around 8%. She told me that it is purely to do with my weight - as I don't have high blood pressure, cholesterol or sugar levels, I probably imagine that I've been fooling nature into believing that I'm healthy

I was pretty horrified when I saw this picture taken over our weekend away in Bournemouth in March this year. We had a lovely time, but for me, spoilt a bit by finding clothes too tight, and struggling to waddle around, instead of enjoying our walking around.

That's me in the front, in the pink Michelin suit. We really had a ball, it was such good fun, but I know I would enjoy it more, if I were to shed a good few pounds.
So............ less food and more exercise is the plan. I've started taking a walk before breakfast and cutting my portions and snacks.
Watch this space........... maybe I shall surprise them next year

    Hi Tina good to see you back although for you the reasons for being back are not the best ones. I am still here too much of the good life and not enough discipline willpower or exercise for me but the slog goes on and i am determined do it eventually.

    Just do what you can do and keep doing it. Pretty soon you will be able to do more. I highly recommend tracking your food as I find it is a big help.
