Pain is Fear Leaving the Body

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

I'm watching past seasons of the Biggest Loser (this show motivates me sooo much), and I was listening to Jillian motivate her team, and something she said really stuck with me.

Pain is fear leaving the body, and you're allowed to feel those emotions. You're not allowed to let them hold you back.

Or something like that :P Anyway, I had a personal goal to be in the 230's by my birthday. My birthday is on Sunday, and I'm still 4lbs away. I'm going to keep this quote in my mind as I work my ass off to hit my goal by this weekend. I know I can do it. I totally can.

Also, can I just say... Vicky from season 6 of the Biggest Loser... I HATE her so much. I mean, in the way that you hate a character on TV that you don't personally know. But still... wow, she is an awful person on this show. I hope she's not that mean in real life. She's definitely not an inspiration to me.

Thanks guys! I did see this past season and I HATED it! These people, although they are playing a game and trying to win the money, are supposed to motivate and inspire. They lost all sight of that... it made me so angry when they threatened to quit just because the other contestants got another chance. THAT HAPPENS EVERY SEASON. They knew it was coming. It was so petty and immature.

I don't think I saw season 6.. .the last season was SO BAD though, did you see it? Most of the seasons were great and motivating, but last season was full of whiny little brats. Anyway... I know you can make it to your goal, you have been making some awesome progress lately and I hope you are proud of yourself! Go get it :)

I finished watching the last season last week and Bob said something that made me not want to get on his bad side. It goes like "Megan I'll cut your hair off and kill you with it if you don't do those exercises," it probably was a tad different, but jeez, I started looking at Bob differently. And good luck this week, am routing for you and hoping you meet your goal.

Too funny, I re-watch all the season's time to time as well. I get on my bike or something while I watch them. I think the show does bring out people's true personality, though. Some of them, I think wtf were they thinking choosing that person to be on the show. I just watched seasons 10- 13 during this last month, think I will start over again from 1. I cannot remember Vicky off the top of my head. This last season 13 if you ever got around to see it is the most, I don't even know how to put in words, how mad some of those contestants made me feel!!!
emoticon emoticon Happy Birthday, though! Even if you don't quite make it to the 4lbs off, I am still proud of you for coming such a long way and sticking it with it. I know it has been rough on you sometimes! You should be super proud of yourself too!
