This morning I rode 31 miles with a couple of friends, and it was a nice ride. I never "plan" a route or upload one from Mapmyride, because I would rather see what the weather is like before committing to a route. This morning there was a pretty good wind from the south, so we stuck to Route 150 which goes through Carlock and Congerville. The only rough patch we had was about 3 miles coming home that we had a couple of long climbs along with a crosswind.
My eating today has been pretty good, but I had a piece of cake at a graduation party. I burned 1800 calories on my ride though, and it was a very small piece of cake. For b-fast, I had PB&Banana on whole wheat and a glass of milk, and before the ride I also had a small glass of OJ and a banana. Then for lunch, I had an apple, leftover salad from last night with lowfat Caesar dressing, and a bowl of baked beans. At the grad party, I had 1.5 hot dogs (because I finished my son's), baked beans, broccoli, fresh fruit, and a bottle of water at the party. For dinner I had PB&J and I used sugar free jelly for the first time in ages. I hadn't been buying it for awhile, but it was on sale at the store last week and I treated myself. I also had a small plate with some rigatoni and spaghetti sauce that my daughter made, and I picked the sausage out of it. I'm not a big sausage eater.
I'm not ready to count every little calorie I put in my mouth on Sparkpeople but if I don't start losing in the next week or so I will go back to it. This recap is pretty accurate for the most part, although I did have a sip of my daughter's Sprite at the party. I would not have gotten my own Sprite, because I don't like soda enough to drink a whole can by myself. Just a little taste was all I needed.
My feet have been bothering me for a long time, and tomorrow I've decided I'm finally going to call a foot dr. I haven't run since March. I think my weight would be much lower if I was running! I'm pretty frustrated with myself. Well, I've actually just been trying to use other methods and they haven't worked. Ibuprofen works in the short term, but rest/ice haven't really done much of anything so it's time to find out what's up. I hope it's only a matter of getting a new pair of orthotics. I was planning to run 9 miles for my birthday next month, and I was also hoping to do a half marathon with a friend this September. But I don't know if I'll be able to do either right now.
