Busy Day

Monday, May 28, 2012

I woke tired, but made it to my appt. with eye dr. I got there at 9:45 and it took me till 10:25 to find where I needed to go.. By the time, I did my visual field test, had a quick eye test and got photos taken, it was after noon. It took me till 1:30 to get back home.... long, long day. Then I decided I needed to treat myself and a lobster seemed appropriate. So, I went and got one at the grocery store and took it home and it was black inside. I'd never seen one like it before. So I called and took it back and got a second. It too was black, they claim that means it was pregnant, anyway I called and got a new one cooked. Anyway, the second one was the same. I did have the claws of both and the tail of one, but I told them I didn't want to go back there today, so I just need to see the manager to get another one another day! I don't like males, but I guess that will have to be what I do to be sure....we'll see..

And I have to go back on Weds. to get my eyes dilated, joys of having glaucoma... dd will drive me then... over 50 km each way for a dr. visit.. and I didn't even see the dr. today!!!

G.s. stayed home but he has an appt next Tues. with dentist... hope for the best.

I'v e never made lobster, so I can't give you any advice on that. I'm sorry you're going through so much with your eyes. That's another been there, done that with me, so I know how aggravating those appointments can be. Good luck with the rest of your appointments.

The verdict is still out on the Home Depot job. I had a very long day yesterday and was very grateful for the aspirin that I had thought to bring.

I checked with my DH who lived in Louisiana for years about the lobster. He said the only time he ever saw them turn black was when they were dead before they were cooked. Lobster has to be put into the boiling water alive. He also said they don't like to cook the females as they need them to reproduce. They usually only cook the males. Not sure what could have been happening with yours.
Hope you luck with the next ones are better. Good luck with your eye doctor on Wednesday. Praying for your GS on his appointment on Tuesday with the dentist. Seems like a long time for him to wait. Hope he is finding it easier to eat.
