So Friday I ran into the store to pick up a few things and saw a rack with dresses on it. I had a high school graduation to attend and it was hotter than hot so I thought, eh, what the heck? I’ll try one on.
I, of course, picked out the Med. (cackling and giggling at that!), got into the dressing room and put it on. It was too big. No two ways around it. Boobies and all, it was too big. Huh.
Well, we all know how this one goes, much like the beds of the three bears, nothing seems to fit right, but what the heck, I tried on the small. It fit. IT FIT!!! JUST RIGHT!!! Okay, we all know sizes run funky on different things, but it fit. A SMALL – a 4-6. Last year I was overjoyed to be slipping into a size 20!!!
Now, almost everything else I bought (3 exercise tanks, two pairs of shorts and a cute bandana top) were Mediums, but still, MEDIUM!
I was a pretty happy camper! I was riding my cart through the rest of the store and singing and quite, quite happy. (By riding the cart I mean that crazy thing kids do, putting their feet up on the shopping cart and coasting around! Whee!)
In fact, I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy about it, that when I went to another store to get a graduation card, and I saw this store had peanut butter Moon Pies (PEANUT BUTTER MOON PIES!!!!!) I did not get one. I looked at that and said, NOT WORTH IT!!!!!! SO not worth it. Because today I actually feel good about myself. About the way I look, the way I walk, the way I FEEL.
And that is something to celebrate, (but NOT with food!)
