I'd like to start out by bragging a little bit. I'll call it celebrating my successes. Many people who didn't know my 5 years ago don't know that I weighed a little over 60 pound more then than I do now. I managed to lose all that and then some...then I had a baby. My weight went up again, not quite as high as before and with some hard work (mostly through diet) I have managed to get back down to be within 10 pounds of my pre-baby/pregnancy weight. I'm proud of all this however I have my mind and body set on being stronger, healthier and losing a little more weight. Ideally I'd like to be under 200!
My plan: I am doing my best to make healthy choices and plans for this summer that will hopefully carryover into the fall (school year). So far I have bought a Burley to tote my son around in so I can bike around with him since he isn't quite ready to do that himself. I also gave my husband an early father's day gift of a new bike. Now we can all go out as a family on bike rides. Yay!
I also went ahead and got us a summer membership to the local YMCAs. I'm excited about this because not only can I go work out (free daycare) but I can sign up my kids for classes and camps.
Still need to do:
Get some new workout shoes
Get bike locks so that we can go more places
Stock up on more healthy food options
I'm feeling good about this summer! What are your plans?
