I left my house around 9am to get started on my shopping. First I made a stop at Walmart; I bought gift cards for 2 birthdays and a wedding that are coming up. Just don't have the energy right now to be more creative and shop around for gifts. Picked up a few misc. items too, they were not busy and I found an open check out line right away.
I went to Meijer for groceries next, had a little bit longer list today because there were several things I was out of. They were busy, but it wasn't too hard to get around. I had to wait a little bit at the check out, but I had a nice conversation with the elderly lady and her daughter who were ahead of me in line. I like people like that, it's a much more pleasant way to spend the time waiting rather than having to listen to people grumble and complain. I have one of those zip topped grocery bags that has a silver lining in it, to keep stuff cold; I brought it in with me so the cashier could pack my perishable stuff in it.
It was already 80°F by the time I got home just before 11am. It felt like hard work unloading the car today; besides my usual soreness I get in my hips and knees, I was feeling a little sick and shaky from the heat too. I think I was a little dehydrated too. After I got things put away, I took a pain pill and had a tall glass of water, and eventually I cooled off and felt better. Thankful for my central air today, it's supposed to get up into the 90's later so I plan on staying inside.
I don't want anyone to worry if you don't see a blog from me tomorrow; I will be getting injections at the pain clinic, and they give sedatives before doing them. More than likely, I will be feeling too sleepy to get on the computer when I come home.
