Wow, didn't realize it had been over a month since I last blogged on here! Things are finally starting to get back to some sense of normal.
I've been at my job for 5 weeks (only 7 more on Manpower's payroll!) and LOVE it!! It stinks that I don't get paid for today, but that's okay. Paid holidays will come soon enough. I think Thanksgiving will be my first paid one. (60-day waiting period after starting on company payroll)
Ran a 5K this morning as part of HealthyRC (RC = Rice County). Did it in 48:30. Not bad for my first one this "season". I was sick part of last week, so didn't feel like working out. Did my weekly weigh-in and discovered, much to my surprise and delight, the first number was NOT a 2!!! WOOHOO!! PARTY TIME!!
That gives me SERIOUS motivation! I NEVER EVER EVER want to see ANYTHING starting with a 2 again, at least as far as my weight goes!!)
My BMI is still too high, but it will come down over time. My Fat % is still too high as well. Things to work on!
My plan for the "summer" is as follows:
Now that I'm feeling back to my normal self, I'm going to do some form of exercise every day. My next 5K will be on the 4th of July and I'd like to be down another 10 pounds or so by then. My weight loss may slow down now that I've lost almost 9 pounds in the last 5 weeks. My fast food consumption has been cut WAY back! The good thing about living at home again for a bit is the fact that my Mom makes healthy meals (I'd cook, but I get home around 6:30 or s0) and occasionally makes comments that keep me on track.
I also need to consume a LOT more water! Diet Mountain Dew-flavored water doesn't count, I don't think! And that much caffeine isn't the best for me anyway.
